Haoma Retreats are delighted to be hosting our next retreat at YogApulia in the stunning Itria Valley, Puglia with our co-host Jess Horn Yoga.


The Teacher

Jess is ISHTA trained and uses mindful flow and breath to lead her classes.  Eastern philosophies of Ayurveda, Hatha and Tantra are seamlessly woven in and provide a context to the poses.  Jess caters for all levels and students are encouraged to practice in a way that suits their individual body and spirit, helping bring them each to a place of Sattva (balance).  The daily meditation classes are a wonderful bonus taking the focus inward to a place or rest and restoration.  You can join our optional silent walks in the stunning countryside surrounding the property.

Charlotte has trained at the Institute for Optimum Nutrition in London, bringing with her in depth knowledge of food healing and health. The menu will be created using fresh, seasonal Italian produce and specifically designed to maximise and maintain energy levels.  Eating well is proven to positively impact our energy levels and we will focus on quality ingredients and food combining to achieve this.  Great food is an essential part of any retreat and we are very lucky to have the wonderful chefs at YopApulia to help create our menus.

The Location


All rooms are set within traditional Trulli buildings.  Trullo (singular) are made of stone and designed to keep cool in the summer and warm in the winter and characterised by pretty conical roofs.

It’s a real treat to find such authentic location owners who have created a dedicated space specifically designed to optimise the retreat experience.  Set in this beautiful and enchanting area of southern Italy, Apulia is region of outstanding natural beauty.  The centre is surrounded by olive and almond groves in blissfully peaceful and spacious countryside, perfect for reflection. Beautiful beaches are a short drive away and we are surrounded by the white washed villages of the Itria Valley.


The Chefs

We are so lucky to have amazing chefs prepare our food on this retreat. Firstly, Tami! Of Colombian and Japanese heritage has literally cooked all over the world. In her twenties she opened a Mexican Restaurant in Colombia moving to Italy a decade later. Her heritage is Japanese/Colombian and she has travelled and worked all around Asia bringing to her secret recipes of traditional food of that region. We literally can not wait to eat her menu!

She is also, super excited to work with us and the yoga and food programme will be designed to complement each other with yoga techniques to support health digestion and promote natural detoxification, an integral process to optimising energy. You’ll be given the tools and knowledge from both from the yoga classes and the nutritional programme to take home and incorporate into you daily life.  After this 5-day retreat you will feel revitalised and cleansed and return to your life full of physical strength and mental clarity. 



Good physical and mental energy are vital for a positive mindset and a happy life! Guests will be treated to daily nutrition and lifestyle talks and workshops based around our nutritious and delicious meals. We will look at the timing of our food and use our knowledge of circadian clocks to maximise energy.  You will go home with up-to-date, science-backed food and lifestyle tips to use in your daily life. Macronutrients are well-known energy providers but there are a number of essential energy giving micronutrients too!  We will look at all this much more!
